Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the impact of information technology on the effectiveness of accounting information systems in the Jordanian pharmaceutical companies, through identifying the impact of the use of hardware, software and databases uses on the effectiveness of accounting information systems at these companies.

To achieve the objectives of the study and testing its hypotheses, a questionnaire was prepared and distributed to a sample of (42) respondents; average and standard deviation were computed, and (T-test) was used to test the hypotheses.

The study found revealed that there is an impact for the use of information technology on the effectiveness of accounting information systems, and there is an impact for the hardware, software and databases uses on the effectiveness of accounting information systems.

The study has recommended the need to develop the information technology in managerial and accounting systems, relevant to the requirements and changes in the external environment
