The moral dimension in humans, like all their other dimensions, is complex and rich.

Such complexity does not damage their unity – or the unity of the human life, for that matter; it rather makes it stronger.

Yet, the separation, from the intellectual realm, of moral judgments has led to the total severing of ethics from life’s affairs.

The concern was to preserve the sovereignty of ethics, and to avoid any accusation of committing the naturalistic fallacy when deducing the values from the facts.

Being consumed – by the philosophical fashions of the day- with arriving at the only possible foundation, moral judgment lost all possible foundations.

What is herein suggested is that the situation can be fixed through rethinking the human nature, and respecting the unity of the human being in moral theorizing.
