This paper investigates a very important topic in our lives that is releasing someone from religious duties and obligations and its relationship with dropping duties and rights, ownership and reconciliation.

Dropping and releasing are two closely related concepts.

Ancient scholars did not dif-ferentiate between them.

Therefore, this paper aims to clarify this concept.

Scholars considered the concept of releasing someone from legal duties as part of the process of reconciliation.

The research consists of an introduc-tion and four parts.

The first was devoted to defining the concept of release linguistically and idiomatically.

The second part examined the relation-hip between release and dropping of duties and obligations.

The third part dealt with the relationship between release and ownership.

Finally, the relationship between release and reconciliation was examined in part four.

The various views of scholars were discussed in order to decide the preferred one.
