تتناول هذه الدراسة محاولات المسلمين فتح القسطنطينية منذ بداية الدولة الإسلامية و حتى الفتح في عام 1453.
تهدف هذه الدراسة لتوضيح أهداف المسلمين من فتح هذه المدينة و محاولاتهم المتكررة في ذلك، و الأسباب التي أدت لفشلها خال ثمانمائة عام (653م-1453م)، و من ثم مناقشة النتائج المترتبة على فتحها، بدأت هذه الدراسة بمقدمة شملت أهمية موضوع الدراسة و أهدافها ثم تمهيد تضمن تعريفا جغرافيا و تاريخيا لمدينة القسطنطينية، ثم تتبعت محاولات المسلمين لفتح المدينة من خلال العصور الإسلامية المتعاقبة و انتهت الدراسة بخاتمة تضمنت أهم النتائج المتمثلة في حرص المسلمين الديني على فتح المدينة لتحقيق بشارة الرسول (صلى الله عليه و سلم)، و يؤكد ذلك الحرص-المحاولات المتكررة طوال العصور الإسلامية و التي نجحت أخيرا على يد السلطان العثماني محمد الثاني " الفاتح " (1451م-1481م) ؛ مما كان له أكبر الأثر في العالم الإسلامي، و قيادة الدولة العثمانية له في مواجهة أوربا التي لجأت غربا لتعويض خسارتها بضم الأندلس من المسلمين و لتبدأ فيها حركة النهضة الحديثة و التي كان فتح القسطنطينية واحدا من أهم بواعثها.
Abstract EN
This study handled the attempts of Muslims to conquer Constantinople since the establishment of Islamic state up to 1453 .
The study aimed at highlighting the repeated attempts and goals of conquering this city .
And why these attempts failed throughout eight hundred years ( 653 -1453 ) .
Then it discussed the sequences of its conquering .
The introduction included the significance and the objectives of the study .
The preface gave a geographical and historical definition of Constantinople .
Then it traced the attempts of Muslims to conquer the city through successive Islamic periods .
It also discussed the sequels of conquering Constantinople in 1453 .The study concluded by presenting the repeated attempts and resolution of Muslims to conquer Constantinople in fulfillment of the prophecy of the prophet Mohammed.Athing attained, Latly, by the Ottoman Sultan Mohammed 11, (The Conqueror, 1451-1481).
The conquering of Consan-tinople brought the Islamic world into direct confrontation with Europe .
The latter compensated this loss by gaining Andalusia from the Muslims .
And thence began the modern European renaissance .
so conquering Constantinople was a propeller for that renaissance .
