English Abstract

The present study seeks to identify the changing roles of the pre-:ntive security force in Gaza Strip.

The exercise is presented from the :rspectives of security force elites and university students.

A compari-n of the perspectives of the two security elite and university stu- : nts is also made.

The research strives as well to explore any possi-e obstacles that hamper the pursuit of preventive security force from idertaking its expected roles.

Considered from the perspectives of uni-rsity students, it also explores the changing roles of the preventive curity force commensurate to certain specific variables type; aca-mic specialization; and residence.

Based on the viewpoints of the security elite and university stunts, the researcher has laid down a suggestive proposal on the dy-mic development of Palestinian security organizations.

If applied, the searcher hopes, his suggestive and idealized model will produce ex-cted and effective roles.
