تتمثل المتغيرات البيئية بالخصائص الجغرافية الطبيعية لموضع مدينة الموصل ممثلة بالتركيب الجيولوجي و معالم السطح الرئيسة و التربة و متغيرات المناخ العام و المحلي التي تحدث فوق الإطار المكاني المحلي للمدينة كما يؤكد البحث على أثر تلك المتغيرات على سلامة سكان المدينة و منشآتها الموروثة داخل الحيز القديم منها.

The environmental variables include the geographical properties of the Mosul site as represented by the geographical structure, the main features of topography, soil , general and local climatic variable which take place over the local and special frame of the city.
