Abstract EN

This trail was applied to detect the species of bacteria which may present in the milk of goat at the countryside of the city of Al-Kut, for this purpose, eighty milk sample were collected, in concurrence with eighty udder smear from four flocks.

The isolation of bacteria indicated the presence of Escherichia coli (E coli) 25%, together with Klebsiella spp.

22.5%.

The ratio of initial isolation was tending to be toward a significance elevation in E coli in smears 28.75%, while Klebsiella spp.

spp.

was with fewer episodes in samples of smears; the ratio of initial isolation of Klebsiella spp.

was 23%.

At the same time the effect of the addition of some acids was studied, the addition of acetic acid and lactic acid in different concentrations (0.5, 1, 1,5 %) and for different periods of time (4, 6, 24 hours for each concentration) as preservative substances was studied too; E coli was more sensitive to these acids than Klebsiella spp..
