Eisenstein considered one of the great directors in the world although he failed to achieve only a small number of films, but these few films each bearing its magic and its special power, and reflects the genius of its director who has excelled in drawing, engineering, authoring, theorizing, directing and montage, to make his art the art of an epoch and the art of the 20th century in world cinema.

After the Socialist Revolution, the Russian young film makers were encouraged by the government to contact experiments, considering what Griffith had reached as a base to go forward to new worlds.

Indeed those Russian film makers made a quantum leap in the world of Cinematography.

This research seeks to reveal the theories of Eisenstein and his philosophy in the movie, through recognition of his views and philosophy in general, and through recognition of his theories and their resources the most prominent of his famous theories being, perhaps, “Creating through the Montage”.

The study also attempts to identify the extent to which Eisenstein applied his thoughts to his films, which would be of benefit to the workers and scholars in the field of cinematic art from different aspects in theoretical and applied fields.
