Abstract EN

Separation and connection is a subject that represents an important aspect of rhetorical exploration for sentence's structures due to its marked stylistic potentialities provided by its structural nature.

The researcher is careful to make the application domain for this phenomenon a perfect well-knitted text which is Imam Ali's (peace be upon him) '' Course of Rhetoric''.

The basic purpose of this study is to demonstrate the rhetorical method based on practical text analysis which, in turn, based on grammatical, implicational and rhetorical study.

The method of study consists of three pivots preceded by an introduction and a prologue and followed by a conclusion comprising the most important findings and a bibliography.

The first pivot has dealt with separation; the second has discussed connection while the third has investigated the implication of separation and connection between predicates and adjectives.

As its most important finding, the research has showed that the sentences of Alawian speeches are characterized by the domination of three categories of separation : complete connection, complete breaking up and semi-complete connection.

It also shows that connection context of Alawian speeches represents a remarkable stylistic feature due to its frequent occurrence since Imam Ali's speeches are hardly devoid of it in addition to its demonstration of separation implication between vocabularies in the emphasis case.
