Abstract EN

Environmental permits for investment, ventures is one of the most important legal approaches for the protection of the environment.

The UAE legislators set up special provisions for the issuance of such permits that ensure a balance between investment promotion on one hand and the protection of the environment on the other.

This issue was discussed based on three different perspectives.

Firstly, the procedures for the issuance of environmental permits for investment ventures.

Secondly, the procedures relevant to the commitments on the part of investors towards the protection of the environment and the degree to which they abide by the provisions of environment protection provisions.

Thirdly, the legal liability on the part of investors resulting from violating the provisions of environment protection provisions under which the permit was issued.

The researcher presented the main conclusions resulted from this study.
