Abstract EN

The Current research aims on discovering the effect of an educational program on developing in dependent skills for special education students.

The sample was (21) students which was divided in to an experimental group (12) and a control group (12) of the fourth primary grade (special education) for the academic year (2005 / 2006).

To achieve such an aim, the following hypotheses were formulated ; 1.

Are there any statistically significant differences between the grades of the experimental group of the independence skills scolebefore and after applying in the educational program ? 2.

Are there any statistically significant differences between the grades of the experimental and control groups before and after applying in the education program a regarding the scale of measuring independence skill ? zeal (2001) scale was used to measure the independence skill of (9) aspects including (56) items.

The Validity of the scale was as agreed up on by a group of specialized experts, and the stability (80 %) was found using re-test.

The resnlts showed statistically significant differences in testing skills in favor of the experimental group in the post test.

Such a result shows the effect of the educational program in developing skills for special education students.

Consequently, a number of suggestions and recommendations were made.
