Tourism is considered as an important source of economic gain in the world today.

It yields almost 480 billion dollars annually.

Approximately, 135 millions are working in tourism sector, both directly and indirectly.

The number of tourists who transfer from out location to another range 690 millions.

These facts and figures point to another consideration.

There is dire need to improve tourism industry and its multi-dimensional typology natural, cultural and recreational.

Equally important is the need to provide shopping facilities that may cover the wide range pursuits of the tourists.

Tourism as industry, however, is unable to flourish if it lacks adequate security.

Security dimension, therefore, assumes prime significance.

Any planning on expanding shopping facilities for tourists to the Arab countries must, therefore, provide focal attention to the security dimension.

Without security, in the comprehensive concept, the tourism industry remains deficient in accomplishing qualitative standard.

The recent incidents at various levels national, regional and international reinforce the idea that security is inevitable for tourism.

Preceding generalizations provide constructive perspectives to the Arab decision-makers.

In order to work for progressive development to the tourism industry in the Arab countries, they must provide ample consideration to the security dimension.

Likewise, they should pay equal attention to counter security challenges stemming from various directions.

They should understand that both facets tourism and security are inextricably linked together.

In pragmatic terms, it implies that Arab decision-makers should work to provide a conducive social climate characterized with freedom and toleration.

This should attract tourists.

It must not be repulsive.

The present paper provides illuminating expansion on the subject.

In particular, it highlights the value of tourism as a decisive factor in boosting national economy.
