تستهدف هذه الدراسة تسليط الضوء على الأحوال الزراعية في إقليم الجزيرة الفراتية في العصر الأموي.
و يشمل نطاق البحث دراسة الموقع الجغرافي للإقليم و حدوده، و تضاريسه، و مناخه.
ثم بيان الأبية الاستراتيجية و الاقتصادية للإقليم في العصر الأموي، فضلا عن نتبع مصادر المياه و مشروعات الري التي نفذتها الدولة الأموية.
و أخيرا تناول النشاط الزراعي و ذكر أهم المحاصيل الزراعية المنتجة في الإقليم.
Abstract EN
This study sheds light on the agricultural conditions in the province of al-Jazirah in Upper Mesopotamia during the Umayyad period.
The study encompasses the geographical location of the region, its boundaries, topography and climate.
Then it shows the strategic economic importance the region during the Umayyad period, examines the sources of water and irrigation projects that the Umayyad state carried out and addresses the important agricultural crops that were produced there.
