The research sets forth the legal framework of online contracting by defining the electronic contract, its characteristics; means of concluding agreement and nature of electronic data exchange.

It also reviews legal complications associated with the electronic contract.

In its conclusions, the study stresses the necessity of issuing a new law for the electronic transactions in order to address the perpetual increase of the online contracting.

This should be accompanied by introducing some changes to the custom legislations, taxation, banks, judicial registration and intellectual property.
