Extradition is considered the most crucial means and form of international criminal cooperation as it combats crime and dogs the steps of perpetrators wherever they are and brings them back to their countries where they commit the crimes.

Basically, this idea is grounded on the principle of the multilateral recognition between states regarding verdicts issued by their respective judicial authorities as per their internal legislations.

The study handles the subject of International Arrest Warrant determining its concept and definition which is; a judicial resolution issued by concerned authorities in the requesting country to another country for purposes of arresting a suspect or a person convicted of a criminal offence.

This procedure is done via a direct contact, cooperation and coordination between states with a view to facilitating extradition procedures.

The treatise draws an analogy between the International Arrest Warrant and other similar terms such as Internal Arrest Warrant and Interpol notices.

Moreover the study sets forth the practical applications of the International Arrest Warrant and stresses the paramount importance of its adoption by Interpol in order to use it as a vehicle that cements bonds of international cooperation in criminal arenas.

The treatise comes out with that International Arrest Warrant is grounded on mutual recognition of foreign arrest warrants, and concludes with the absence of an international legislative system to govern International Arrest Warrant.

Furthermore the treatise urges to activate International Treaties on Extradition, and locally the study requests some amendments to be introduced to UAE Law regarding judicial cooperation including determining International Arrest Warrant validity period.
