No worker can no matter how keen be protected from work accidents and diseases.

Work accidents occur daily in the workplace, causing temporary and permanent partial and total disabilities, and sometimes lead to the death of the worker, which entitle rights and obligations set forth in the law.

Entitlement for pension of the injured does not depend on the undergoing of the insured to a period of time according to the provisions of the law, or a number of monthly paid contributions, but entitle every right in the work injury insurance required by the law according to the classification of the injury of the injured from the first day of submission the provisions of the law.

Total pension of the injured is equivalent to the highest percentages established in the Jordanian Law (75 %) of the deductible wage, plus 25 % of his pension as a support allowance.

Such percentage is equivalent to the entitlement for the death pension of the injured.

The legislator did not impose any restrictions or conditions on such entitlement, such as the actual submission of the injured to the Law for several years, or payment of a number of contributions.

All required by the law to obtain total disability pension of the injured is the disability of the injured not less than (75 %) of his total physical strength and the injury is a result of an accident at work or as a result thereof.

The provision of a safe working environment from the risks of various industries and raise the level of efficiency of the means of prevention lead undoubtedly to reduce injuries and occupational diseases and protect workers from accidents and then reduce the number of working hours lost as a result of absence due to disease or injury, as well as reduce the costs of treatment, rehabilitation and compensation for diseases and occupational injuries, which will improve and increase the level of production and push the economic power of the state to further progress and prosperity.
