The research tackled a historical study of Mosul through Al Buldan by Al–Faqeeh Al–Hamazani who mentioned important and invaluable information about Mosul city whether they are historical or geographical or economic.

Etc yet, these information were brief and limited.

Are example was the haming of Mosul, its planning, administration, Population, and its towns.

In this research, the material provided by Al–Hamazani a bout Mosul.

Was presented.

Then it was discussed and Compared with a number of historians, and geographers like ; Al–Balazeri, At Tabari, Bin Khirdazaba, Al–Bakeri Al–Hamui, and Al Hemiyari.

Those were selected so as to get acquainted to the material provided by Al–Hamaizani in which he was unique among historians and geographers, and was distinctive too.

Throughout the research Al–Hamazani providedny important information about Mosul and he way unique in mentioning some of them.

Besides, he quoted from the other historians, and others quoted from him.
