Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to highlight the role of mosul city nurseries in the socialization of children from forty days to four years of age.

To achieve this goal+ two models of nurseries were chosen: The governmentalized nursery of Mosul University and the non-govermentalized (civil) Fardose nursery.

The curriculum and general activity were studied in both nurseries by personal interview of the personnels and by direct observations.

The study reached to a conclusion that the nurseries play an important role in the preliminary education and socialization and there was no significant differences between the govermenatized and civil nursries concerning the nature of services given to growing up children.
