يعد الأديب (مارون عبود) من أبرز كتاب القصة في لبنان، إذ استطاع بموهبته الفنية توظيف ثقانة الوصف لتشكيل الوحدات السردية الوصفية لكي يستدرج القارئ إلى الإصغاء كوته ؛ لذا جاء هذا البحث ليجري دراسته على هذه التقانة عبر كشف المقاطع الوصفية و بيان مستوياتها النقية و الجمالية و حيويتها و مشابهتها للواقع.
بني البحث على مدخل و أربعة مباحث، اعتمادا على تقسيمات عبد اللطيف محفوظ في كتابه (وظيفة الوصف) إذ جاء المدخل لتحديد مفهوم الوصف و تمظهراته بالسرد الذي شكل مؤثرا من المؤثرات التي تنهض عليها الثمنه، و اختص المبحث الأول بدراسة (الوصف المقيد بالسرب) من حيث السرد الوصفي و الوصف الموجه من المرد بأشكاله الثلاثة : الوصف البسيط، و الوصف المركب، و الوصف الاستشاري.
في حين قام المبحث الثاني بدراسة (الوصف الحر، بوصفه قن توزيع المعلومات الموصوفة حول الأشياء من حيث الوصف الدال على انفعال داخلي، و الوصف الممهد للحدث الذي ينتظم حول فعل كلامي، و الوصف الدال على الحدث الذي تسرد فيه أحداث القصة.
و جاء المبحث الثالث لدراسة (الوصف الذي يذكر معظم أجزاء الموصوف عبر المقاطع الوصفية في حين تناول المبحث الرابع (الوصف التعبيري) الذي يشكل الشخصية و يرسم ملامحها الخارجية من دون الولوج إلى التفضيل الدقيقة.

The Lebanese Artist Maroon Abud is Chosen as domain of This research, because his stories have cohesive artistically techniques, among which is description.
Moreover, his stories have descriptive Parts with different shapes and expressions.
For this reason, this research is concerned with the analysis of descriptive parts clarifying the artistic and esthetic dimensions, and revealing The meanings resulting.
This research is divided into an introduction and four ports.
The introduction specifies the description concept, its function, and its relation with narration.
The first part of the research deals with the study of description confined by narration which includes the description narration and the description directed by narration with its three types: simple description.
compound description, and separated description.
The second part tackles the description including description related with internal emotions, and description referring to action.
The third and fourth part are specified for the study of the classifying and expression description.
