Ibn Hamad Valley is considered to he an economically promising area in Jordan This study.

which examines the natural and human resources of' this valley, shows that the working population, especially farmers who are approximately 17000 people, do not effectively and completely utilize all of the valley's resources.,The valley, which is known for its relative availability of water resources and its differences in altitude, is environmentally appropriate for farming.

It may also he regarded as a tourist attraction lor it has many hot springs and a diversified wild life.

Nevertheless, the shortage of infrastructure services and the inefficiency of the irrigation system as well as the high loss of water and soil erosion have led to the inefficient utilization of the valley's best resources.
