Abstract EN

This research is a rereading and an analytical study of a Safaiatic inscription from Enaza mountain in northeast Jordan.

The inscription contains important data about the Safaitic inscriptions and the life of the Safaitic tribes.

The inscription shows a significant difference between the use of (M) and (d’l).

The former one has been used with the clans while the second with tribes.

Two names appear for the first time (’ t) and (s t), the first is a tribe whereas the second is a clan from the well known Safaitic tribe Daif.

Moreover, according to the analysis of the verb (‘yr) the inscription gives us important evidence about the involvement of the Safaitic tribes as guides for the caravansaries.
