Interpolation par fonctions b–splines pour le calcul des indices de rétention en programmation de température : application à un mélange de phénols tests séparés sur des colonnes garnies de tenax–gc modif

Retention indices of 7 phenols eluted at different programming on columns packed with modified Tenax–GC, were computed using B–splines of orders 2 to 5 to link the calibration data (I ; i 2 à 5) I BS.

The comparison with the conventional method of Van den Dool and Kratz (IL), with respect to retention indices values and their repeatability, depends on the programming and the order of the B-splines.

However, our method leads systematically to retention indices that are "more linear".

Whatever reference mixtures used and regardless the analyses conditions the B-spline of order 2 reproduced at the best the classical IL retention indices
