English Abstract

The French state has sustained higher education institution while creating flexible and more participatory e-learning projects that promote training to remote and retained learners.

The continuing training preparing learners to integrate the cultural sector are concerned by this evolution.

However, several problematic questions have arisen in this field where sharing knowledge and practices remains basically informal and materialized in physical media.

The paper deals with some of the recent challenges of e-learning focusing the analysis on training to book’s professions, and asks about the impact may have e-learning on trainers and adults’ learners : Are they prepared and willing to changes ? Do the characteristics of the actual elearning project meet the needs and expectations of the market and its actors ? How can this technology valorize the access to book and culture ? How should trainers in the precise case of book’s professions improve their organization to meet remote learners’ expectation ? These are some of the important issues we seek to apprehend and discuss in the paper based on the results of interviews we held and the information about the development of information and communication technologies in France.

Recommendations for improving future projects and successful implementation are provided too, according to trainers and learners’ viewpoints.
