The study was conducted in an onion field in Deir-Alla Station in the Central Jordan Valley to study the flight activity of onion thrips (Thrips (abaci Lind.) (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) using water and sticky traps during 1997-1998.
Flight activity of the onion thrips in the Central Jordan Valley showed that there were two main activity periods.
The first period was in early December to February and the second one was in March to May where average temperatures were 16°C and 22.3°C, respectively.
