Abstract EN

General education (culture) is of great importance in the lives of individuals and groups.

Mass media has increased the role and importance of general knowledge.

This prompted researchers to devote more efforts to the study of culture, defining its meanings and developing plans for its teaching.

Islamic culture, inspite of its orginilatity and authenticity still represents a challenge for researchers as it requires additional research and verification.

The Sunnah has an organic and direct relationship with Islamic culture.

Sunnah is a main source of Islamic culture as well as it represents its applied dimension.

This is highlighted by the fact that the prophet (peace be upon him) is the example for all muslims to emulate.

The sunnah is the criteria and the norm upon which the muslim behavior and actions are measured.

It is as well an important factor in harmonizing the muslims various cultural background.

This research aims at showing the relationship between the sunnah and the Islamic culture, and the relevant significance of the first to the latter.
