This study aims at evaluating the performance of the supervisors of the first three elementary grades in the directorates of education in the southern region of Jordan (Ma’an, Aqaba, Tafilah and Karak) from the perspective of the classroom teachers by answering the following questions: 1.

To what extent do the first three elementary classroom teachers in the southern region schools evaluate their supervisors’ performance in relation to each part of the questionnaire? 2.

To w'hat extent do the first three elementary classroom teachers in the southern region school evaluate their supervisors’ performance? 3.

Is there any significant statistical difference at p =.05 in the evaluation of the teachers of the first three elementary classes in the southern region of Jordan of their supervisors’ performance attributed to experience, qualification and the interaction between them? In order to answer these questions, the researchers randomly selected (350) female teachers out of the total population study in the four southern govemorates of 1400 teachers.

The researchers developed a questionnaire containing (48) items that cover the five domains of the questionnaire (planning, curriculum supervision practices, application and evaluation).

The questionnaire was then judged by a jury to test its validity.

Cronbach Alpha was used to calculate its reliability which reached (0.96).

To answer the first two questions, the mean and standard deviation were calculated, while the two-way Anova was used to answer the third question.

Accordingly, the study came up with the following results: A moderate evaluation of the four following domains; (planning, evaluation, supervision practices and performance) transpired.

There was no significant difference p =.05 in the classroom teachers’ evaluation as to their supervisors’ performance related to qualification and its interaction w'ith experience.

In light of the results, several recommendations can be drawn at both the practical and research level.

It is believed that if those recommendations arc to be taken into consideration, they will have a great impact on the educational process, However, at the research level, it was recommended that the study be conductcd on other fields such as Arabic Language, English Language, Science etc...

It was also recommended that training courses to all the supervisors, especially those who arc conccrned with the first three elementary classes be planned to acquaint them with modern practices in supervision, and their impact on both teachers and supervisors.
