Abstract EN

The study aims at explaining the concept of globalization and its political, economic, social, technological, and administrative consequences.

Also, it aims at examining its implications on the new concept of restruc turing the state, and the expected changes in the roles of the public sector due to the effects of globalization.

A random sample of (300) top public managers was selected.

The questionnaire, developed by the researcher, was used to collect the data.

Following the analysis of the data, the researcher reached the following results: The globalization phenomenon is a result of current technological advancement.

There is no clear understanding of the globalization and its consequences as is evident from the respondents’, answers Also, the sample members were of the opinion that globalization will lead to major changes in the roles of the public sector (the state) and its structure.

Therefore, underdeveloping countries have to liberalize their economy, and to activate the process of administrative reform and privatization.

Moreover, globalization will accelerate the economic competition, globally.
