Abstract EN

This study speaks of the Muslim movements headed northwards & their arrival to Jordan during the life of the prophet Mohammed ( Peace be upon him ).

It examines the military companies sent by the prophet to the area, and the clashes which took place between Muslims and the people of south Syria.

A special emphasis is placed on the battle of Mu'tah ( 8AH \ 630AD ) which marks the most important incident of great challenge to the newly bom Byzantine Muslim state which was enforcing its domain over large areas of the world at that time.

Actually, the battle of Mu'tah helped Muslims to arrive to the area, and, therefore, it became the door of the Arab-Muslim control over Bilad AL-Sham during the Rashidi Era.
