Abstract EN

Educational aids are considered one of the pillars of the educational operation.

This accounts for the great concern with the use of educational aids by educational institutions a concern which has led to research inadequate use of these aids on the part of teachers at all levels of education prompted those in charge and researchers to think seriously about the underlying causes ofthis inadequacy.

This lack of attention to the use of educational aids in teaching some educators believe, influenced the learners negatively and consequently many of those who graduated paid no attention to this import aspect.

In the light of this, the researcher thought of conducting a study to determine the scope of the need for training in the use and production of educational aids on the part of practice teaching students ofthe College of Education in King Faisal University.

On the basis of the responses of 120 practice teaching students, the findings of the study emphasized the importance of educational aids as well as the need for the availability of laboratories, rooms equipped with teaching materials and equipment for production and use.

The findings also called for the preparation of a training program for practice teaching students in the college to help in the produce and use of educational aids.

The previous studies agree with the content of the present investigation and with the writer's emphasis on the importance of this study and the need for its application on the part of those who are in charge.
