This study has confirmed that the used cryoprotector medium has an effect in reducing the percentage of acrosome damage, especially during equilibration (3 hours, 4-5 C°) and cryoshock (JO min, 0 C°) and that compared with non treated seminal liquid.
After adding the antioxydant(Vit, E) or (Vit.
E & EDTA) to the cryoprotector medium, the effectiveness has increased.
A reduction in acrosome damage has been recorded, when Vit.
E (0.5 mg/100 ml) or a mixture of Vit.
E & EDTA (10 mmol) was added, either during equilibration or cryoshock, all compared to either the seminal liquid.treated with the cryoprotector medium or that the non treated.
