Abstract EN

This paper aims at revealing the aspect of ambiguity in modem Arabic poetry by concentrating on the poetry of mahmoud Darweish, who has been composing poetry for a long period of time, The study attempts to delineate the effects of ambiguity on the interpretation of poetry by focusing on the major aspects of ambiguity: symbolism, deviation, spaces, rhythm, and refemtial pronouns.

The paper has concluded that the aspect of ambiguity has sometimes contributed to offer different interpretation to one text, and has caused more obscurity other times.
