I aimed from this research is to clarify the great role played by al.

Hasan ibn Ammar" being one of the military leaders of the Fatimid caliphate.

Also, he is a discendant of an Arabian Family who worked under the service of the Fatimids, and took part in defending the Fatimid shores in Magrib from many Byzantine attacks.

This research also, contains an out come of the role of Al -Hasan Ibn Ammar -together with the Emirs of the tribe of 'Kalb ‘in defending sicily from the Byzantine attacks, and to face some internal uprisings against the Fatimid caliphate especially during the reign of ’Al -Muizz Li -Dini -Llah .

Al -Hasan ibn Ammar, by and large was contemporary to three Fatimid caliphs, namely ■ : Al -Muizz ’ Al -Aziz (-and 'Al -Hakim .

Also ‘Al -Hasan -together with the men of ‘Kutamah ‘he became a one -track -person which led the governor to get ride of him.

There fore, the latter killed him in the year A.H 390 AD 1000.
