Abstract EN

The present investigation aims at identifying the key elements of the Islamic values and at constructing a scale of Islamic values.

Six key elements were identified, and (180) items were written.

The modified scale was adminsitered to (543) Yarmouk University stu¬dents in order to validate the scale.

The final scale consisted of (58) valid items.

Upon per¬forming the principal components factor analysis with varimax rotation on the (58) items, five factors were found to account for (54.2%) of the variance.

The factors were: Spiritual values, emotional (affective) values, social values, behavioral values, and cognitive values.

The internal consistency for the scale, using Cronbach Alpha, was found to be high (0.94).

Moreover, the internal consistency for the five components of the scale was found to be 0.89.
