القدس في ظل الحكم العثماني في الفترة 1112-1123-1700-1711 م : دراسة في الأوضاع الداخلية من خلال سجلات محكمتها الشرعية

Abstract EN

This study deals with the situation in Jerusalem and its countryside during the period of 1112 A.H/1700 A.D- 1123A.H/1711 A.D.This period witnessed the weakening of the central authority of the state which influenced the security and the Socio-economic situation of the province of Damascus in general and Liwa al-Quds in particular.

This situation caused chaos, instability and lack of security which consequently led to the appearance of local groups inside the city.

The behaviour of this groups harmed the citizens of Jerusalem while the countryside suffered from thieves and burglars.

This study shows how the inhabitants of the (Muslims and Christians) united to protect their city themselves and their interest against the danger of these groups.

This study also discusses the important role played by the "Nakabatul-Ashraf" of Jerusalem in leading the public movement against inequality.

This study shows the efforts made by the authority of the province to suppress the movement in order to extend the government's control over the city.
