Abstract EN

This study investigates the motives and goals that were behind the advent of Amir Abdullah to Trans-Jordan, the activities he conducted, as well as how successful were his activities in getting the chieftains and peoples of the area to his side.

It also clearifies the different factors that affected the development of the British Government’s official stand and the pressures that had been exercised on Amir Abdullah in order to reduce his anti-French activities.

In addition, it aspires to correct some of the mitakes that had appeared in several studies that dealt with the subject including those in British Documents.

The time span of this study is from November 1920 to March 1921.
