Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between job satisfaction among administrative employees at Yarmouk university and some demographic variables (job's title, sex, level of education, years of experience, place of work, and salary).

The sample consisted of 460 employees (31% of the study population).

The findings of the study revealed: 1- General low level of job satisfaction among the administrative employees at the university in the following variables: monthly salary, job stability, fringe benefits, advancements, and job conditions.

2-There are significant differences (a = 0,05) on the level of job satisfaction among employees due to the effects of the following variables: job title, level of education, years of experience.

But the study did not show significant differences due to the effects of sex and place of work.

The study suggests the following recommendations: 1- Reconsidering the amount of the monthly salary for employees to the extent that they can live a good life in the society.

2- Finding a new system for the fringe benefits and advancements.

3- Developing and a ctivating a special programs for the employees vocational growth.
