Abstract EN

The research is an exploratory field-study conducted on a sample consisting of 186 students at Yaraouk University who acquired satellite dishes at their homes.

Data is gathered by using questionnaire.

Analysis of the data resulted in a number of conclusions that shed some light on certian aspects of the patterns of space TV programs viewing among Yarmuk students.

The Maim finding of the study is that 37.6% of males and 23.5% of females of the study group stopped watching Jordan TV programs after they started viewing regional and international space programs.

This is due to the fact that Jordan TV programs are old and not attracting to the viewers, The, unable to compete with foreign programs.

The study recommend to Jordan Radio and TV Corporation to present more appealing programs in order to compete with space channels
