The Present study handles the declension of the imperfect a poco-pate verb that terminates in a vowel.

It binges on the viewpoint of both recent and old grammarians as a starting point.

It tumedout to the researcher that despite the full and meticulous understanding of ohd grammarians of the relationship bettween long and short vowels (as markers of declension) such grammarians relid on Arabic calligraphy which takes in to consideration long vowels and disregards short vowels.

Consequently, their view was in concordance with what they relied on.
