Abstract EN

The research attempts to provide a comprehensive theoretical study for the main characteristics of the social work in the Social Institutions.

It also Analyzes the fundamental levels of the social work which comprise the following: - Administration and policy - Human Resources - Inmates - Programs - The physical aspect of the organization- Laws, Rules and Legal Regulation.

In addition, the researches tries to provide some guidelines for those who are interested in the social work as well as in the social institutions from theoretical and scientific point of view, such as Directors of the Social Institutions, Inspectors, Researchers and those who deal with inmates and correctional institutions.

Finally, this study aims at developing the social services in general, and the social work in particular, so that will correspond with the spirit of our decade.
