Abstract EN

Al- Harith Al-Makhzumi is apoet woh witnessed the pagan time and islam.

The researcher has studied his life and thus be come acquainted with him during the pre-islamic pagan time, his status among the poets of mecca and his stand from islam and his enemity of it; his participation in the islamic conquest in syria; then determining the year of his death.

The researcher has studied the poetry of Al-Harith and pointed out what happened to his poetry: suspicion and plagiarism especially the poetry he composed before becoming a Muslim.

The researcher has presented his poetry on islamic events both in his paganism and islam.

Also he has studied the topics of his poetry and what characteristics it has especially its clarity of expression and smoothness of style and the arti-sitc pictures such as: simile, metaphor and emtonymy; his good style which includes synonyms and antonyms.

Then: the researcher has designed a scientific way in verification in regard to collecting the poetry and providing it with vowel points and giving the poems and the lines numbers and declaring the meter of the poem or the stanza and its interpretation and the sources he used and the different narritive point of views and explaining the linguistic vocabulary and identifying the geographical places.
