Abstract EN

The legislative elections are considered the democratic means to enchance authority.

The proclamation of the results of such elections, however, is not the ulitmate phase; electors and the loosing candidates have the right to appeal against the results, political regimes in the world have various policies as to who determine the legality of parliamentary membership.

The Jordanian constitution has given this authority to the Lower House of the parliament.

This is comparative study between the Jordanian and French legislations on the subject - matter of the research.

The approach adopted is based on investigation the respective authorities, the decisions issued by them, and the The study concludes that (1) the judical parties involved in judical parties involved in judging appeals against election procedures be unified, (2) the supreme court be vested such responsibility, and (3) a constitutional amendment be- done to establish a Supreme constitutionar court responsible for judging parliamentary membership.
