Abstract EN

This paper presents the advantages of thyristor voltage regulator and squirrel cage induction motor drive system.

It also presents the disadvantages of this system, which are the limitation of the speed control at low loads and the unavailability to Motrin a low speed for maintenance and installation.

To get rid of these disadvantages an auxiliary cyclocon-verter and squirrel cage induction motor drive system is added to the same shaft.
