Abstract EN

Popular Arts in Islamic Spain Mid its Relevance to the Art of Acting This study traces the historical and literary texts and signs which can shed light on die art of acting in Islamic Spain.

It attempts also to find out the relationship between the art of acting and the Andalusian pop¬ular arts such as singing, dancing, blowing, circus shows, magic shows...

etc.

The study shows that all the popular arts in Islamic Spain have contributed to the art of act-ing- : Moreover, this study illustrates some examples of the Andalusian art of acting, Particularly the art of shadow play (Khayal al-Dhill), which was Mown in Andalusia before the middle of the 11 the century A.
