Abstract EN

This study amied to search the attitudes of secondary vocatinonai teachers towards the teaching, profession and the effects to experience, specialization, and qualification on that.

The sample consisted of all vocational school's teachers at lrbid and Al-Mafrak districts.

An attitudes instrument originally prepared by Al-Khalili and Magabla (1991).

and which was developed and modified by the researcher in 1992, was used in this study.

The findings of this study showed that the teachers' attitudes tow ards the profession were positive in general.

They also revealed that the attitudes of nursery teachers came on top of the other teachers followed by the industrial teachers, then the commercial teachers.

The findings also revealed that long experience and high qualification of teachers correlated proportionally with teachers’ attitudes towards teaching of vocations.

In light of these results, the study proposes a number of recommendations pertinent of reinforcing and enraging teachers attitudes and developing their vocational teaching methodology.
