Abstract EN

The distribution of Fe.

Mu, Zn and Cu was studied in three common soil series of Northern Al Jezeria project area.

The soil series belong to the following soil orders, vertisols, inceptisoles and Mellisols.

The results indicated that surface horizons showed higher three elements content than other norizons.

This goes positively paralled to the distribution of organic matter, silt and sand, and inversely with the distribution of clay and lime.

All soil series showed relatirely high content of trace elements.

Possibly this was due mainly to the mineralogical composition of parent materials which was rich in trace elements.
