Abstract EN

This paper presents the possibility of disturbance control in a Vortex-Shed by imposing acoustical disturbances on the wall.

These disturbances weie taken as two-dimensional Dirac sources separated by a certain distance, different in amplitude, with a phase shift between their oscillations.

Controlling the resulting disturbance is investigated by varying the phase shift and the amplitude ratios in the two sources.

The possibilities of controlling such disturbances are considerable since it is shown that the disturbance can be totally silenced, or amplified many times by choosing suitable values of the sources variables.

The applications of such study in some practical aspects are further discussed.
