Abstract EN

This paper investigates the importance of the Palm tree in the Poetry and beliefs of the Pre-Islamic Arabs.

It also shows the occurance of the Palm-tree in their poetry; its relation with the essential elements of the Pre-Istamic fife: al-Zaatn women.

Camels, Horses and War, Furthermore, this paper attempts to interpret the image of the Palm-tree comprehensively in the light of the Pre-Islamic beliefs and ancient Arabian life.
