Abstract EN

This research studies the phenomenon of rebellion and alienation in the poetry of a Jordanian poet: Arar i.e.

Mustafa W.

at-Tall (1899 - 1949).

This poet reacted with his human interests with deep consciousness and excessive emotions.

He rejected the teachings of his societal institutions and their values as he discovered that these values destore the human freedom of the ordinary person and they destroy his will for the benefit of certain community sectors.

Accordingly, he tried to change these values orally and practically, but he did not succeed.

Thus, his ambitions and hopes vanished, and his relationships with his society and environment were shaken.

He rejected his community to the gypsy one, and found in such community his Eutopia.

Oppression and frustration were in harmory with the rapid growth of separation, and life emptiness, and so he refused to give up to any authority outside his own sphere of influence.

This motivated him the gradual suicide through the excessive drinking of alcohols sinking in his deep sorrows and immortalizing all these events in his poems about gypsies, religion and alcoholism.
