Abstract EN

In this study, industrial Hazardous waste, their characteristics, and their Public health significances are defined and described.

A survey of the existing situation and practices of management of the industrial waste in Jordan are presented and discussed which showed the great need for establishing a proper industrial waste management program to control waste generation, treatment, and disposal.

A proposed scheme for industrial hazardous waste management and control measures are suggested for Jordan with a set of recommendations in this regard as to minimize the risk of polluting water and food, and damaging the environment and public health.
