Abstract EN

The purpose of this study was to estimate the need for male and female teachers in the North-West Region of Saudi Arabia during the period 1406-1411 A.H.

To achieve this purpose different approaches and methods of estimating the need for teachers were analyzed.

Then the planning model that suits the Saudi educational system was developed.

The aforementioned model was applied to estimate the needs of the education system of the region for both male and female teachers in every subject area.

The needs of the elementary, intermediate, and secondary levels of all the following school districts were concerned: Madinah Munaw-warah, Hayel, Tabouk, Al-ula, Yanbu, and Jouf.

These needs were estimated for every single year of the period 1406-1411 A.H.
